Do you folks realize we are experiencing the Trifecta of national emergencies?

Right now...today.

From across a spectrum of decades...we are currently experiencing the perfect storm of the Spanish Flu p******c of the 1910's, the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's, and the Great Depression of the 1930's.

What President in at least somewhat recent memory (you know, three or four decades) could have risen to be the voice of hope, the voice of national unity, the voice of guiding principles, in such shaky, turbulent times?

I would guess......NONE.

Now I freely admit that Boss Donnie has utterly failed at becoming a National Leader in a time of Crisis. He is a boss, not a Leader.

But how good would you have been at navigating these waters?

Trump can't be blamed for causing the crisis.

It is not his fault. It is life's fault.

OK, so he has been flacid in responding to the the trifecta...

But what the hell would you have done to prevent this mess?

A true voice of reason. There was only one guy that could have handled this trifecta of National Emergencies and he was nailed to a cross a long time ago.

What are you talking about? Trump has done a great job! He's in the upper tier of presidents in terms of accompishments in his first term.

What would I have done? Buggered if I know but I don't have the big plane or access to the 'best people available' either.

While we're thinking about today's crisis lets think about the ever growing low wage/welfare/permanent underclass. The American dream is a cruel joke for close to 50% of Americans but at least they're armed eh?

These are the people to whom socialized health, housing, and higher education looks good and is a step up.

So Biggie's plan, the donor class's plan would be ? Anyone?

You know, it is not the Presidents job to unite the country. The Libs always hold that against him. It's just as much the citizens duty to coalesce behind the President. We have always done that as a country. But we forget our history.

The President's job that he was sworn to do is to execute the laws of the country and uphold the Constitution. And that's what the people want, a law and order president.

Get sober. Trump has presided over a failed administration and is now overwhelmed with crisis and chaos and of course the most important consideration for him ...

"Bad Ratings Chief! Crappy Optics Big Guy! Melania has a date with Trudeau!" - soon to be ex WH staffers.

I agree we need Jesus back.
P******c - what could have helped: Trump should have:
1. Have had his team meat with the outgoing Obama p******c team.
2. Not have eliminated Global Health&Security Team from NSC in 2018 (the team's major interest was animal to human t***smission of disease). Read a book: The Hot Zone which describes the t***smission of Ebola and other diseases and how they are spread in the modern world.
3.Listen to the daily briefings that there was a disease problem in China beginning in late November.
4. Institute Bush and/or Obama p******c protocols when potential realized.
5. Not minimize danger of the epidemic.
6. Instituted mandatory quarantine for Americans & foreign nationals coming in from Europe and China (remember those jammed crowds at the airports - only the foreign people were stopped initially - follow protocals noted above).
7. Don't compliment Chinese leadership for great work on disease until the facts were known - they actually did a deceitful crappy job.
8. Give the $2 billion in funding for ventilators, etc., instead of the $500 million granted in February.
9. Test as many as possible as soon as possible.
10. Stop disparaging Governors who were trying to stop the disease from spreading. Stop Republican Governors from sucking up by ignoring the danger of the disease (how's Texas & Florida doing now?)
11. Stop crowded party rallies that just spread the disease.
12. Meet with minority leaders to try and stop protests - advise they are being heard - need to stop the spread of C***d.
Civil Rights issue.
1. Stop disparaging everyone that disagrees with him.
2. Try to fix the problems instead of the blame.
3. Stop his twitter feeds.
4. Don't giving the impression of supporting white nationalists.
5. see 12 above.
6. Stop quoting former r****t comments.
Avoiding recession:
1. Tax give away was an exchange of greater debt for our children and grandchildren by deficit spending; keep his campaign promise of reducing the national deficit in 8 years.
2, Avoid p******c by following protocols instead of fiddling around (obviously the disease was an outside factor but we were unprepared. Now major deficit spending which is augmented by the earlier give away.
3. Stop bragging about increase in jobs; jobs being added are low level - delivery services, etc.

And for all the above, stop lying. Put the interest of the country first instead of his own.

I'm not a fan of Biden either, but his latest ad makes a point Trump is the President of us all, not just the Republicans.

I can't tell you who will win in November, but I can tell you who will lose - that's us.

PS. I was hoping everyday that the locusts won't show up; then I heard the cicadas are due. Only comfort is I wasn't the 1st born.

A smart guy gets as many people as possible onboard as soon as possible.

It is very much the President’s job to unite the country, especially in a time of crisis. That is what a real leader does, and the ability often comes natural to a real leader. .
You take the position that is is not only because Trump has worked, and continues to work so hard to divide the country.
Trump has failed on every front.

Personally, I believe that President Trump's calling out people who violate the sovereign laws of the country by entering it illegally, d******c t*******ts who destroy property, burn and l**t, Marxist and Socialists movements, and those that have plotted by means of paying for the Christopher Steel Dossier which was the root cause of disclosing the corruption in the CIA and FBI as separating those that need to be separated from the patriots who love their country.

When one has a bushel of apples and some of them are bad they need to be seperated to prevent them from spoiling them all.

The Osmonds would disagree... a blast from the past. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd55cvSRdgA

Sorry, terrible segue. Trying to lighten the mood. Just so weary of the constant stupidity being played out right in front of us.

Way Cool...! Gosh, I'm glad the 70's have past for some of it was pretty corny. The cartoon graphics pales in comparison to the CGI of today like we see in the latest Star Wars episodes. I will say that the airplane in this video was something quite special.

And, you are right. The Osmonds did say that One Bad Apple does not spoil the whole bunch. By the way, I had always thought that Marie Osmond was one of the most beautiful women through the years.
