A Stormy Evening Over the Bay

I had a chance to get out yesterday evening in hopes of catching a great sunset through broken clouds in between storm systems. Well, as Florida weather so often does, the clouds didn't play as nice as I wanted them to. In hopes of not coming home empty handed, a storm system was just coming through and this was the result.

Comments and suggestions always welcome!

Thank you all for the comments! I'm a little relieved I was able to convey the mood and overall feeling that I had when taking the picture.

Very nice. How long was the exposure?

This was created with three bracketed exposures and merged together with the algorithms of a program called Luminance HDR. The longest exposure was 5 seconds, and the other two were 1/s and 3/s if I'm not mistaken. When I get back to my personal computer, I'll dig up the EXIF info if you want it.

That's OK. I noticed that the water was smooth as if there was a ND filter involved but the three image HDR explains it all.
Very nice outcome.

Yeah, these were all taken around sunset, and the clouds blocked out most of the light so I didn't need an ND filter to get the long'ish exposures. I did apply an ND grad in post processing in a couple places to enhance the mood a little.
