To take advantage of a dam free situation.
This is a lake on the Tuckahoe River on Maryland's eastern shore.
They were active all afternoon.
A few shots. And two Maryland Red Belly turtles. I caught one, too,shoot, turned my back.
Gone. They are fast on land.

Great series, Bill. Thanks for taking me along on your walkabout through them. The beaver dam is quite impressive and the fellow in the water had to be quite industrious to build it although I suspect that they had nothing else to do and they had all day to do it.
The turtles are enjoying the proceeds of the beavers which helps keep the water there.
