Have to say up front that these are not good photos...they are quick, grab photos of a fleeting moment. The bears had been feeding in this meadow and were now leaving and were about 200 yards distant. When spotted, I jumped out of the car and ran up on a little bluff just as they were going into a small draw. Hand held, breathing hard, shooting in burst mode she turned and did give me one over the shoulder look. Just documenting the brief scene illustrating the way many images are captured in Yellowstone.
These chance encounters make for a marvelous Yellowstone experience.
WELL documented and described ! .........thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing; bears are my favorite target and I know well how fleeting opportunities can be.
It's still a really nice action set. Always be ready, I say.

Matter of opinion, Dude. I especially like the last one.
I'll take 'em!
If you're still there, Raspberry and her cub are frequenting the Lake Butte Overlook area and Snow is around Sedge Bay.

Glad you stopped by and enjoyed one of my favorite subjects, NMGal...are the black bears still active and prowling in your area??
Very cool, jederick. I love bears and bear photos.
