Nice. I've never seen a moose at Yellowstone.

Yes, we don't often see them and when we do they're usually between Hitching Post and Warm Spring or close to Silver Gate.

Just a few memories of the first day of summer last year as compared to a less than comfortable New England day this year!

Good morning DaveO,

Number 3 is my favorite image. Really impressive composition / vantage point / exposure combination. Deserving of a beautiful frame and exhibition. Please, keep 'em coming.

All the best to you and yours and stay safe during these difficult / interesting times,

Terry

Thank you kindly, but my wife said no one should encourage me!

What is amazing is that the different areas of the park present very different opportunities. I never thought that we would come across arid regions and pear cactus in the north and luscious wetness and water features in the Bechler region. Annual rainfall varies from 11 to 38 inches.

Love the way you captured the vista scene's in this post, all are excellent. I got a photo of a cow moose in this area on this trip, she was in the big meadow just past Barronette...only one we saw. Anxious to learn how your February trip plays out for you (especially equipment wise) though I don't think the my war dept. bride would go for a winter trip.

Reason: Wolves. Good to see that there are a few elk left.
