Just using my wife as a model for my hobby, of photography. I can't afford the pros, other than that her pictures I have an emotional connection with me.

Someday these photos will be old but frozen in time. Your wife will look back when 70+ and think wow was I a beauty. I have a photo of my friend Mary taken in 1982... she was a beauty... Time takes its toll both men and women should have the "gold standard" photo portfolio.

She will still be a beauty at seventy.

These are all nice, but the pensiveness of the first one wins out.

You don't need the pros...

I always tell people who don't like a photo of themselves, wait 10 years, and you will consider this a great photo. Yes, time takes it toll, but individuals who have lived a healthy lifestyle and took care of their body will age very differently than those who did not, assuming everyone started out with the same potential.

An interesting observation, our sense of beauty, like most other things changes with age, and yes, I can look at a 70-year-old lady and consider her beautiful.

Thank you, both, for your insightful response.

Beautiful series of photos of your wife. Should build a photo album for her of her photos.
After losing my wife almost 2 year ago, how I miss photos not taken of her. Everyone we find is a joy.

Thank you! I have been doing exactly that. The lady is so photogenic it is easy to get a good picture of her. So sorry to hear about the loss of you wife. All the best!

Lovely indeed. I too am a fan of #1, although I see those specular gold bands to her (camera) left as distracting. As well, detail is lost (especially in her hair) in the shadows which could be opened up a bit in LR--use the brush.
