When you have bananas too ripe to eat (not rotten, though), peel and freeze them in a plastic bag - then you can take a couple of them and blend with milk, a bit of vanilla and some maple syrup (and maybe some cocoa) and it makes a wonderful banana milk shake. I make one at least once a week and the grands always want me to make them when they come over.
