I live in Seattle and support our mayor & police chief's reactions - since the de-escalation of police violence, protests have been peaceful, requiring no tear gas! better to withdraw than assaulting & throwing non-violent people to the ground, firing weapons directly at them, using tear gas & pepper spray on peaceful crowds, kettling to provoke the crowd
