My quarantine photography efforts have focused on working with my macro lens. This has meant a fair amount of prowling through my neighbors' gardens (with permission). They're used to me now! One of our neighbors has a pot of California poppies. This poppy was all done, but it turns out it was way more interesting without the petals. I used Olympus e-m5 Mark III with the 60mm macro lens.
Good morning "Mizzy",
Beautiful shot. The closer I looked the more I could imagine seeing a small new growth forest just beyond the yellow tendrils. Possible following a "burn" with remnants of small trees and new growth grass / vegetation beneath. I honestly don't think I'm being too imaginative as much of what we do as photographers involves just that. This also provides so much of the enjoyment in our passion. Keep 'em coming.
All the best to you and yours and stay safe during these difficult times,
Terry

Thank you for pointing out the “forest”! After I read your comment, I looked with fresh eyes and saw what you saw.
I like it, simple, but a very nice shot.
Thanks for sharing, David

Really nice shot! Does the green central ball hold the opium? Thanx for sharing.
