Seem like we have guite a few people who have traveled to Alaska.
So I wanted to start an on going thread that we could all enjoy and see together.
Here's a few of mind, Please feel free to post as many as you want.
I don't really have any "favorites"... I lived in Alaska for a decade in the 70's and so have a ton of film...
I still go up there every year or so just for the photography...

Reminds me of the Mendenhall Glacier.
mendenhall Glacier, taken while rafting
Cliff
Loc: Central Penna.
Here's one of the many, many flowers that bloom like crazy in Alaska.. No, I don't know the name of it.

OMG, those are incredible pictures. Beautiful.
How close were you? What kind of lens did you have. Were you on some type of private tour? How did you get so close.

As for the distance it was different each time depending on the size of the iceberg and the element of danger, they do roll over without warning.I was not on a cruise ship but in a small jet boat,I worked as a tour guide/deckhand with a charter company. You also do not want to get too close to the face of LeConte glacier, the biggest danger are "shooters" (icebergs broken off from the bottom of the glacier underwater). One day we got too close to the face of the glacier and don`t you know it all hell broke loose, see the following photos.Lenses...most of my photos were taken with nonprofessional cameras with fixed lenses like Sony R1,Canon SX20,pocket Panasonic ZS-7 and lately with DSLR Canon T1i (lenses 18-135,18-200,70-300 and 10-24).I really do not like DSLRs,I think it is more of a challenge to deliver professional results with nonprofessional equipment.Thank you for your interest.
The calving started without much to worry about...
...then an iceberg exploded and on the right a tip of a shooter shaped as a "pyramid" begun to uppear
The pyramid of ice keeps growing till it towered about 200` over the boat and two giant waves almost rolled over the boat.

Your shot are wonderful, I can't belive that you got them with those camera's. They look like they were taken by a full frame camera. Great job.
