I still haven't gotten back out to the Green Caye wetland area (in S Florida) with my new camera but these are some birds I shot earlier in the spring with my old FinePix 1300.

Love the Green Kay , but that looks more like the Wacodahatchi where the Birds like to pose for cameras . lol

You're exactly right, except for the Whistling Duck, that was at Green Caye. We usually go there first and then my wife likes to drag me across to Wacodahatchi, especially during the nesting season.

The birds at the wetland area are so used to seeing people with cameras they've become quite used to them. That goes for the gators as well. In this pic you can see my reflection and the flash in the lower left as he swam just beneath me under the boardwalk.

Looks to me like a whole toe is missing! He's a cool bird.
The top one we have here in E. TX. We call them pachichis for some reason. Love their colors.
