Can anyone help me identify this bird? Photo was taken last September in the Bonito or Pousada Aquapre region of The Pantanal, Brazil. What throws me off is the beak in that it looks kite like, but I find no kite with the coloring either adult or juvenile. Sorry for the poor quality but it was a looong way off. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

They usually sit higher off the ground but it looks like an osprey to me.

Thank you. Going to check osprey, but was no near water but in a dry savanna. Still you never know.

Positively identified as a female Snail Kite. Thanks for your suggestion and it was fun researching osprey's.
