Practicing with my new Tamron 150-600 G2 after figuring out the lock ring. (another post)
We're down in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Went for a drive to find photo subjects and found some of the best in the area. Hope you like them, SOOC. Still learning on the G2 but having a blast learning.

Wild horses? They look like well fed, well groomed horses. How wild are they? Nice photos too.

They are wild but they are used to people. As far as I know no one feeds or grooms them. In fact it is illegal to do so. They have had to relocate some of them because people have feed them and they've gotten destructive. They're are a couple of herds down here. Thanks for visiting.

I didn't know there were any wild horses in that area. Nice catch.

Just want to point out one more time( I know it is my soapbox) These are feral horses. Feral animals are those which have reverted to a wild life style. The last truly wild horse in the New World went extinct 10,000 to 8,000 years ago. (last I read)
There were no horses in the New World when the first Old World people arrived here with their domestic horses. This is the source of the 'wild' horse in the New World.

Kind of splitting hairs here but point taken. They're as close to wild as we've got and wild sounds much better than feral to me.
