I am attaching pictures of some of my backyard birds that I have photographed here in Pinopolis through an open back door in the last month. They are Carolina Wren 6/4/2020, Common Grackle 6/4/2020, Gray Catbird 5/8/2020, and Great Crested Flycatcher 6/2/2020. This is the first an only picture I have ever gotten of the Great Crested Flycatcher. I am using my Canon 7D mk ii with my Tamron 600 mm G2 lens. I am using shutter priority at about 1200 to 2000 and using a tripod. Your comments and criticism will be much appreciated.

Very fine shots. Lovely detail.

I am still trying to decide about purchasing the Tam 150-600 and a d90 or 7dii. Images like this are great encouragement about the ability of the 7dii and Tam160-600 combo.

I'm wondering:

How safe away was your subject, or how much did you crop away in processing?

Thanks

Thanks for your kind comment. I was 18 feet away from the subjects. I did no cropping or editing.

Very nice! I have flycatchers that nest under a balcony - good fun and always welcome. Have had them spot and hover over snakes, an excellent trait!

Downloads are fantastic. I love your feeder for sunflower seeds.

Thanks for your kind comments. I also put nut suet in some of the holes. I have a baffle that stops the squirrels, but the Common Grackles try to eat me out of house and home.

Wonderful set. Don't often see photos of catbirds. They are such great singers and are part of the mockingbird, brown thrasher songster trio.

Thanks for your great comments. I don't usually get a lot of catbirds and I don't see any out there now.
