I have been out looking for anything interesting to shoot, and not getting a lot, but discovered some delightful plantings not far from home. I was told the first one is a Lupus, but the rest I have no idea. All I know is they were nice to shoot. Delicate forms and some color for a change. I forgot to convert to sRGB, so the download should be good. All comments and suggestions are welcome.

Lupine, also spelled as lupin -- not lupus

The first pink seems to be some kind of petunia. Very enjoyable series, Mark. The delicate hanging orange-colored blossoms (ID is on tip of my tongue!) is particularly appealing to me.

Thanks Mike. I used to go to a local plant store for something different from time to time. Driving around I mostly see rose bushes that suffered through the past couple days of heat. Don't worry, I won't step on any.

Glad you enjoyed. I sent a few of these to my sister, and she said the peachy colored ones were her favorite as well.

Your shots give the feeling of my face being right up against the blossoms. Nice work.

Thank you Wanda. Almost all of these were shot with a borrowed 85 F1.8 from as close as I could get and couldn't get the framing I wanted, so most of these are cropped to some degree. I like a number of them with even tighter crops, provided the right bits are in focus.

Thanks yssirk. The softness and delicate colors were what made these so appealing to me. They were in the shade which helped to that end.
