Interesting story - I posted this picture on my FB page (tomhicksmontanaphotography) of a barn I took a while back . A young man named Steven, unknown to me, contacted me. He said he was a writer and asked if he could use the image as a part of a written work he would create. I agreed, and this is the result.
I loved his poem, and was really moved by the fact that two strangers could connect over an artistic enterprise and come up with something I believe is both creative and valuable. Maybe we can do more of this as a society...?
Tremendous collaboration.
It's nice that your image inspired someone. Good job.
This is very good...both photo and poem.
Traveling around, my wife and often talk about houses and barns no longer in use and wonder about when they were built, how they were used and what led to their abandonment.
This captures a lot of the spirit of the people and the building.
That is a nice image. I hope the guy gave you credit for your photo.

Thanks, Linda! New picture?? nice...
Isn't it great we can share a project. I enjoyed your image, yet there is an added dimension, when taken a step further with his words. Instead of just looking at an image I enjoy due to the light, the composition, subject matter, etc., it took me to a higher level of thought about time moving on. Bev
THAT is awesome. What a find on both counts!
That shot coupled with the poem is one of the best I have seen. Thanks for posting. The bell in the window tolls for Thee
A wonderful photo and poem.
The photo's very nice, but your generosity made possible something that's greater than its parts, and quite moving. Well done!!
