Need help with a couple Lightroom quirks

First off, I am operating on the most recent version of the MAC OS and the LR Classic subscription.
1) When using the Photo Merge > HDR commands in the Develop module, and checking the Create Stack option, one time it will drop the completed stack right where I have selected the photos from the filmstrip, but most often it will drop them at the end of the filmstrip, which is problematic for me. In addition, when opening the completed stack it does not consistently keep them grouped together but rather spreads them out within the filmstrip. Is there any way to control these occurrences or are they just software glitches?
2) When also working in the Develop module, every so often I will experience very large pixelization. Probably better described as large color blocks within my photo image. Possible reasons? I am hopeful this is not some sort of computer virus.
