Love the look on Sam's face. He made me chuckle! Dougal doesn't look happy at all! It looks like Liam didn't really want to be bothered. These are great memories you've captured Sue.

Sam is a quintessential third child, compounded by the fact that he is the middle one of five. He's a comedian with a rubber face and one of the most interesting kids I've ever met. I told Liam to look off in the distance for his shot - I was more interested in seeing what kind of bokeh the lens would produce. I'm planning to do a portrait of him with his cello soon - hope it turns out the way I'm envisioning it. As for Dougal ... she's a cat - what more can be said!!

You look more at home sharpening that chain than watering the flowers! What brand of chainsaw do you have?

Wow....Spent my entire young life in CT but I see now that there is much more than just the shores and the Housatonic River......and the road to the NY border on Saturday nights

Great photos, I was born about a mile for the Park. It has been about 10 years since my last visit to that area.

What an interesting place, JJ. Each area has it's unique piece of history, don't you think?

State Parks have been getting lots of weekend warriors
throughout this pandemic... We now go during the week.
Spring Mill State Park, in southern Indiana...
They have a pioneer village, and a grist mill...
and when it's not Corona Virus Season,
They have a whole village of people that
demonstrate how it used to be....
Sue and I visited in March, and then returned
last Monday..

these photos were tough because the sun was
literally, too bright.
I should have used the (A*) auto scene on the dial..

Dana these are quite nice in spite of the sun. You did well. And I enjoy places like that. I once read an article by a National Geo. photog and I have found this nugget works well: When the sun is so bright and especially at mid day - try converting the image to B/W or sepia.

I enjoyed seeing a blue heron at Bradstreet Landing park yesterday:

Loved the profile shots and how his beak looked so much like the log behind him - the log he used as a perch!
