All the blue states, where the "protests" --R**ting and Distruction" have taken place will soon be begging for federal bailouts of one kind or another. As A tax payer my first reaction isb to tell them where to stick it. Thev wanted protests, then the citizens of those states should pay for them. It.s not my responsibility to pay for things that other states failed to do. The didn't want to protect their people so why should I pay for their failure.Peaceful protest have constitutional protection. And in this case were certainly justified. But burning down entire neighborhods should have resulted in thousands of arrests. Not simply not paying any attention

I agree, but I don't think anyone asked for the outsiders to be brought to town and r**t violently. If a bunch of terrorists showed up in your neighborhood you would want some help cleaning up the mess. And how are they supposed to arrest the entire mob without being done in themselves?

So Federalism is okay, until your state is run into the ground by bad government.
The United States of America has never meant that states which manage themselves better should pay the freight for incompetence. California, e.g., has ruined itself through bad policy and high taxes. Their pension system is virtually bankrupt and they have a self-made homeless problem because of bad housing policy.
To paraphrase, "State, heal thyself".

I agree, I would not give Kentucky any more free federal funds. They take so much more than they pay in taxes.
