A new to me Bug

I just found this bug in the house. It has an enormous jump, in the end he jumped from a couple of feet on my left, past me and out of sight.

I only got a couple of hurried poor shots as he jumped whenever I got close. Big Crops.

Rather good for quick shooting.
My literature being oriented to North American insects I cannot say for certain, but this is one of the Planthoppers. This one in the family Cixìidae. Cixus angustàtus. Pronotum shape and spots on wings fit.
Nicely done, Brenda.

Thanks Bill. That name certainly suits it being a very angular shape. I have searched for Cixus angustàtus without luck but I did look through the family Cixiidae and your ID seems good. Your expertise on insects is vast and very impressive so thanks for the information.

Oh no Tom, not ugly. To me big black spiders are ugly and hoppers are cute, but I am strange anyway.

Ah well done rhadams82, thanks for your knowledge and research, there are loads of Planthoppers to be familiar with. I hadn't expected to find the correct one.
