My wife and I have done 3 photographers safaris in Africa, 2 in the Masai Mara in Kenya, and 1 in Chobe NP in Botswana. We went to the Mara with David Lloyd Photographers Safaris, and both times stayed in Entim Camp. One night on our first visit we were woken up by thumping and crashing from right behind our tent. We asked the warriors guarding the camp what it was when we went for breakfast, apparently there were a couple of elephants having a disagreement. The warriors tried to move them on, but I guess if an elephant doesn't want to go, not much can be done to persuade him. In Botswana we stayed in tents, which were moved every couple of days as we moved around. We had a bush toilet outside our tent, surrounded by a canvas screen. We could lie in our beds and listen to the lions roaring nearby, and hear honey badgers snuffling around. Because we were many miles from anywhere, our midnight bathroom visits showed the heavens in all their glory, you could almost read by starlight. We went to Botswana with Images of Wildlife, wonderful trips! We would love to go back, Africa gets under your skin, but it's an awful long way from Tucson, and we don't get over jet lag too quickly these days.
All amazing. Thank you for sharing them.
Beautiful creatures, very nicely photo'd.
These are absolutely spectacular photographs. I was in Kenya in February, the only thing we didn't see were Leopards. Did you see these at all your camps, just Kenya, just Botswana? I want to go back in the worst way with an emphasis on seeing Leopards.
Wow, what great images of this magnificent animal. I love cats - the bigger the better. Your action shots are superb. The portraits are in the same league - awesome!

The first 5 are the Mara, 2nd 5 Botswana
Suddenly, I'm envious. My time in Africa was as part of an international faculty seminar. I loved the group, but I would really love a photo safari. Great pictures. The shot of the leopard looking into the camera while draped over a tree branch is superb.
