Nice lady next door PART 4

Those are the last pictures of this shoot. For information, this was my first attempt of shooting anything other than family snap shots, using my 2 MPX Sony Mavica camera with a build in flash. So my apologies to "stardust" that the camera did not resolve her hair resembling a "prime number." I'm also not skilled enough to know how to add a fill light to her face, in post processing. Those were two of Mr."stardust's" critical comments, other than the fact that he did not like my cropping, or some twigs in the wrong place in the picture. Nothing wrong with those observations, but I have a real problem with what I perceived as a sarcastic delivery.

My friend, like any lady, and I truly appreciated all the flattering comments the pictures received. I was actually encouraged by the shoot to upgrade to a better camera, a Canon RP, which I'm still learning how to use. So thank you to all for posting a reply.

I must've missed parts 1-3! Bummer. Nice shots, for a beginner. Folks can ALWAYS criticize every photo...but these are very nice, and I suggest you continue.

They say, whoever "they" are, a woman is at her prime at 30. If that is true, and I don't believe it but am using it to make an observation, your friend's 30th birthday must have been the day before or the day after you took the photos. She is stunning and your photos do her justice.

Thank you! Interesting, she was 28 years old when the pictures were taken.

I think she definitely likes you. ;) If you are single, maybe you should ask her out.

Heck maybe she is thinking "I wanted some action so I posed for this guy and all he wants to do is take pictures". LOL.

LOL! Yes, she likes me, and feels comfortable with me. Here is the problem, I'm married, and she is a close friend of the family, including my wife. It is all above board.

Very nice images!!!!Reno

especially for a Mavica !!
If Stardust was my neighbor I would do a session indoors where it is easier to control the lighting, I suggest you start with one light, when you get comfortable with that add a reflector to fill some of the shadows, then hair light, above her to highlight her hair, then add a third light to control shadows on the model and the background, it takes practice but it can be fun. Digital make this a lot easier because you can view the results after every lighting change. I used to use a plaster statue to get a my lighting close before my model arrived.

She is a Goldilocks girl, not fat, not thin... just right and photographed very well
Good work by both you, Reno, and the lady.
