This should be pretty easy for me. Many of my photo subjects are found less than ten meters from where I anchor.

The first shot is a siphonophore floating a few feet over the reef.
Nikon D700 60mm with 1.4 teleconverter

The second shot is a heart urchin. I dropped it from overhead to get a black background.
Nikon D700 85mm

The third shot is a wide angle image of a steel drum that someone placed on the edge of the reef. We use it as a marker to find our way back to the anchor.
Nikon D700 16mm

The fourth shot is a swell shark egg hanging from a gorgonian.
Nikon D700 60mm with 1.4 teleconverter looking up to get the black background

The fifth shot is an abalone face. I found it crawling over a rock, so I held the rock overhead and turned it just right to get the face and black background.
Nikon D700 60mm with 1.4 teleconverter

The sixth shot is a simnia snail feeding on a red gorgonian.
Nikon D700 60mm with 1.4 teleconverter

The seventh shot is a tiny field of tunicates.
Nikon D700 85mm with a +10 diopter

The eighth shot is a nudibranch on a reflective stage.
Nikon D3x 60mm

The ninth shot is a close up of a seastar
Nikon D3x 105mm with a +5 diopter

The tenth shot is the first time in nearly 2500 dives that I have seen mating Chestnut cowries. It was also the first dive with my new camera and housing.

These were definitely taken from the same location - I was standing in the front row of a crowd watching Edinburgh's "Riding of the Marches" this past September. There was no way of moving around without losing a good place to shoot!

Z6/Tamron 35-150

Appears you caught some wonderful & interesting action shots SueScott…….as you were squished together! PG 12

I always enjoy seeing pictures of where you live - it seems so serene and peaceful.

Thanks SueScott for enjoying our little corner of the world! It's nice to be tucked away in a quiet area. Much appreciated, Bob

Nicely done Tex, is that Bird a pet or Wild??

Cheers Photogirl. I've trained a group of magpies and butcherbirds to come at my whistle for meat scraps.

I call my compound "Magie's Farm". I can set up a shot and then call in the birds.
