That is one "nasty" woman. Can't understand why she's so popular.

Rather insulting to those who actually served. I suppose he could be a Vet but I don't know any Vet who would wear a "pretend uniform." Isn't it against the law to impersonate a police officer? Should be the same, here.
Yes it is insulting to vets something like this.
Makes a parody of those who served and sacrificed.

He is fake all right. That is definitely not a uniform shirt and I have never seen chevrons that look like that. Those aren't paratroop wings either. This guy is pretending to be something he is not and never was.
I don’t think this guy is making a deliberate attempt to fool anyone. I’d say he just found the shirt in a store somewhere and thought it looked cool.

Not sure what branch or rank here.
Can anyone please help with the branch or rank?
Thx.
After reading some of the posts, I am bemused that a costume is generating such militaristic gab. It is not someone's military, anywhere. Shall we ignore that in the USA anyone can dress whatever way they desire.? It is part and parcel in the First amendment.
Carry on.

This reminds me of something that happened about 25 years or more ago while I was still an active member of the National Guard. I was on the indoor track at the local rec center and was wearing my army exercise uniform. This guy came on to the track and spotted my Army tee shirt. Hey! he cried. That's cool. Where did you find it? I replied that I had served 26 years to get that tee shirt and asked what he was willing to do for one. He instantly lost interest and replied, "Never mind.", and walked off. There are so many people willing to present the impression of military service but there are only a relatively few of us, who actually serve. Most people haven't the slightest idea of what we go through even in training. It ain't an easy life.

Brings to mind the prevalence of people wearing camouflage as a fashion statement or because it’s cool.☹️

I would say obviously fake. Probably such some kind of "fashion" shirt. I mean there's a sargent rank on sleeve and I think LT. Colonel on collar. A airborne patch on chest and what branch has Combat written on the front, seriously?
Maybe his name is John Combat......
I had a patient once whose first name was "General". Ya never know!
