A local woman wrote a book years ago, "The Book of Our House." It was basically a blank book. The idea was that you would write down where things are located, how things work, who to call for a repair, etc. Clever idea, and she sold some.

Michael Freedman has another book entitled "The Photographer's Eye". Both books are kind of deep but some good tips.
