Hey there. I joined the site a while ago and enjoy browsing through the posts but have been too busy to post any of my own. But now that I seem to have some time on my hands I thought I would become more active.
I've been dabbling in photography forever it seems, starting with a Konica SLR that I purchased with my first real pay cheque over 40 years ago. I'm a big fan of Nikon and currently I shoot primarily with a D800 and D750 as backup (semi-permanent loan from my daughter but that is another story...). Lenses include Nikon's 24-70 f2.8, 70-200 f4, 24-120 f4 and a Sigma fixed 50 mm @ f1.8. Preference is landscapes, streetscapes and architecture but would really like to try portraiture. I use Capture NX to pre-process images (dust removal, WB correction, straightening, cropping, etc), PS 5.1/LR 4 for everything post.
I could go on but I think I bored you all enough!
Welcome! Sounds like you have a real fine set-up already! I have the D750 with 24-120 f4 also, and don't feel the need for anything else. Just curious; Canada is a huge, beautiful country. Which part are you from? Could you possibly post a few of your favorite scenics?
Welcome to the Hog, enjoy.

Welcome to the hog... You have a very good bag of equipment.
Just curious..... Why do you do pre to remove dust and correct WB? To me, it's easier to do this in Lightroom and photo shop if needed. Lightroom can manage the WB and a lot of other photo wide edits. Photoshop can remove dust with one keystroke very quickly and accurately.
I've been to Victoria, Vancouver, and Nova Scotia. All beautiful. Someday I want to take highway 1 across.
I was just about to edit the posting because I realized I left out that bit of information! My wife and I make our home in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and I will be posting some from this area, for sure!
Welcome. Post and have fun.
Welcome. Many years ago I owned a Gerald Stevens schooner. You live in a beautiful town!
