AzPicLady Loc: Behind the camera!

Saturday I tried out my NEW TRUCK and drove up to the Aboretum. Shot a lot of roses in bloom, some desert willow, tried my hand at focus stacking (turned out really bad) and shot some birds! Got some black blobs, some weird blurs, and a few that are actually recognizable! Enjoy. Comments welcome. If you can name the birds for me, I'd love it. And remember, I am NOT a birder!!!!!

Yeah, the truck is a winner. Thanks. I want you to know it was your bird shooting that made me decide to go do some more attempts.

Looks like a very enjoyable outing! I think I know two of the birds but am having a serious brain cramp this morning. I think you should check out these folks

(edit - the gray one I was thinking of is tufted titmouse, but they're smaller than cardinals. And the yellow bellied one reminds me of goldfinch)

Hey, Linda, thanks for the link! I've already identified two of them! That's a cool place to go. The yellow one IS a "lesser goldfindh." The one that looks like a grey cardinal is apparently a "phainopepla." (Never heard of that one before.) It was a really fun morning.

Thanks. I was sort of pleased. I had on my Tamron 28-300 that's not real sharp, so I'm always glad to get more than a black blob! Trying to think of where I can go in my truck today!
