Very touching photos here, I live in Canada but served in the USN fpr eight years. My grandfather served in the Spanish-Amrican War and my gr-grandfather served in the Civil War, and he was born in Canada and became an American Citizen after the war.

When does Canada celebrate, RR?

Pg 6 - Good image and excellent example on how to properly display a flag when on a flat building or wall. The "union," or blue section, should always be in the upper left corner.

thanks Tim!

Here's one I took in Syracuse last year while visiting my daughter. It was a tribute on a strip of land between a road and a parking lot. Each flag had a note with the name and branch of service noted.

p.10 The reflection shot is wonderful. In so many ways the Korean conflict was spooky - wasn't it dubbed the "forgotten war" or something like that? The architect/artist really captured the the essence of the conflict well.

Yes Pat.....It was called "The Forgotten War" here in the U.S., but apparently not in North Korea. Thanks for your response. I did find that reflection wall interesting to try and capture.

There have been 6 sovereign flags that have flown over all or parts of the Texas land mass. Seems to fit this challenge. Didn’t have a shot of my own of all six together So borrowed a couple from close friends the internet provides for us all.

[quote=PAToGraphy]In the US this is Memorial weekend - a time to remember the sacrifices men and women have made so our flag remains flying over a free land. Other countries have similar celebrations. Because we are a diverse, international group, post your flags, post your remembrance day observances where you are. Here's one to get the challenge started. I believe I have posted this before.[/quote
