Capture One Express for Nikon and it's free.

Sorry, not free.
Sure is. Note that this is the Express version, not the Pro version.

C1 Express is now available for free for Nikon, Sony, and Fuji cameras. C1 Express is a feature subset version of the full software. There is also a brand specific version of C1 Pro for each of those brands (discounted price but only supports the branded camera models). And of course C1 Pro with support for most cameras.

Free does not include clicking a box making me agree to a 30 day trial, spam and terms.
Guess no one bothers to read.
Someone else try and download it and tell us what you read.

Yes, I know. Really wanted to try it now that I have a couple Nikons.

I tried it. You do have to create an account. If you don't want to tell them who you are then fake the account. Once you create the account they give you a license key and download the Express version. It's free. It's not a 30 day trial.

Here is the direct copy and pasted terms I have to agree to. The box I HAVE to check to get my "free" download.
By signing up I will get access to a 30-day free trial and join thousands of dedicated photographers and become a part of our community. I agree to receive inspirational, educational and promotional content and invitations from and about Capture One A/S via email using the information I provide in this form in accordance with the Capture One Privacy Policy. I can unsubscribe whenever I wish at captureone.com.
Sound free to anyone else? Not trying to be a jerk. Just tired of BS.

I tried it. It's free. Here's a screen shot where they provide you with the license key for the free Express version for Nikon. They also email the license key. It's not a trial. It is free.

Yup! No money involved and you can unsubscribe at any time. Unsubscribing has no effect on the free program. Signing up gives you 'access' to the free trial of the pro version. You don't have to take it.
What is not free?

Just saw a promo for "Capture One", which showed a "free trial version" and a paid version. What I would like to know is:
1) what do you NOT get with the "Express" version that you DO get with the full version?
2) Is this something I want to get or should I be looking at some other editing software?
Thanks.
