Quick question.

I am relatively new to this site. I was looking at the variety of different sections that are offered and then looked at my information. Never paid any mind to it. I noticed; a buddy list and an ignore list.
If you put someone on the ignore list does that mean you no longer se any responses they post if both of you are on the same topic? To me at my age (77) why would you need that option. Just gloss over their response. If it is positive or negative....

You are correct. There are some who can be relied upon to be objectionable, but it is easy enough to just “gloss” over their posts and move on. Also, there is a chance that even a proven jerk may post something relevant—even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while.

As a fledgling wannabe, I ofter look to the comments to improve my developing skills. I look at all comments and I always look at the thoughtful and helpful comments by/from Linda from Maine. She provides cogent and helpful analysis and comments.
Don't be embarrassed Linda. Your comments are well received by me and are very helpful.

Jersey mike I believe everyone has something to offer. Even a negative comment could be useful. 😀

Thank you. So if I was on your ignore list, you would not be able to see this response?

I don’t know. I have not used the ignore option.
When I said the OP was correct, I simply meant one doesn’t have to be on the ignore list to be ignored.

One can be critical and not rude or abusive. I ignore crude, rude, and abusive by just skipping those comments.

Exactly. That would be the adult course of action.
