As long as people keep asking I'll continue with these composites. I started with finding this girl then went on to find an interesting environment. Dark wet place is home to spiders. This one was accomplished a little quicker than normal because I didn't have to make such drastic colorful adjustments.

Full marks for imagination. The girl's a bit soft compared to the rest of the shot, but it's noticeable only after download and zooming in. I get the impression that the vividness needs to be constant throughout the shot, and I get the impression that all she needs is a bit more contrast and clarity. But that's just nit-picking.

Thanks for commenting RG
I agree she need more contrast and clarity, my problem with doing that is it reduces the light she had on the lantern. That normally wouldn't be a problem because I can add a flash of light back over the lantern but as I do her softness comes right back. So I went with a happy medium.

Removing the spider would leave more to the imagination. Would making up our own scary story be more effective? Besides, I love spiders, so I can't personally be scared of them

Have you been to Texas? We grow big scary ones here. You would be the first person I know to not be scared of them.

LOL, no just a change of planes once at an airport, back in the 1970's. You do make an excellent point, Jim. No doubt Keni will agree 😁

Down here it pays to be very respectful, and a bit scared of them if you are a child, of some of ours. And they are not large.
