If the GOP wanted legitimately to get v**er ID's, they'd pass the law in January and give people 11 months to get it. The other piece that needs to be done is stop closing the offices that issue it and have an outreach program so everyone can get it.
Easy, peasy, if you don't have a corrupt President in the White House and a corrupt Governor in the mansion.

What MVD's were shut down?
Here in the USA many do not operate full time and have limited day(s) of operation all year round. Guess you forgot that small detail.

We don't consider a driver's licence to be the only valid/required ID. A utility bill with name and address will suffice. The key is that you have a v***r r**********n card that was mailed to you, and you surrender that card at the polling station.

History

Breitbart News is a conservative news and opinion website founded in 2007 by Andrew Breitbart (1969–2012). He was a conservative commentator and entrepreneur “a former liberal from Los Angeles who became a conservative” wrote Jonah Engel Bromwich of the NY Times. Breitbart News under his leadership generated news coverage that was praised by the right for its populist, anti-establishment voice, on the left however, he was also accused of being a provocateur and misleading. Andrew Breitbart also co-founded the Huffington Post.

After Andrew Breitbart died in 2012, former investment banker for Goldman Sachs, Stephen Bannon became the executive chairman of Breitbart. Under Bannon the website became more nationalist and a vocal outlet of the alt-right movement. According to Sarah Posner from Mother Jones, during her interview with Bannon, he described Breitbart News as “a platform to the alt-right.” Bannon, who was chief executive of the Trump campaign, and then White House chief strategist for seven months before returning to Breitbart News, had stepped down from his position at Breitbart in 2018.

Larry Solov is the co-founder and CEO of Breitbart News and Alex Marlow serves as editor-in-chief.

In October 2018, Breitbart was banned as a reliable source in Wikipedia. Further, they were added as a reliable news source to Facebook’s new news initiative. This decision was met by harsh criticism by several media outlets, including Media Bias Fact Check.

Read our profile on United States government and media.

Funded by / Ownership

After the death of Andrew Breitbart in 2012, Larry Solov became CEO and president of Breitbart News. In 2017, according to Politico, Larry Solov revealed the owner of Breitbart as “himself, founder Andrew Breitbart’s widow, Susie Breitbart, and the Republican mega donor family, the Mercers.” Further, Solov also made a statement that he wants “to disclose as little as possible about financial and ownership structure.”

Analysis / Bias

Breitbart consist of various sections called Big Government, Big Journalism, Big Hollywood, National Security, Tech, Sports, and Wired.

Breitbart uses sensational emotionally loaded language in their headlines such as “Obama Loses 2 Million+ Followers During Twitter F**e Account Purge.” They utilize sources such as tabloid entertainment magazine Variety, and credible sources such as Bloomberg. as well as factually mixed sources such as the Daily Mail. Under the Big Hollywood section they publish tabloid stories such as “Fashion Notes: Melania Trump is Posh and Proper for Final Day in England” utilizing fashion sources such as farfetch.com

A 2014 Pew Research Survey found that 7% of Breitbart’s audience is consistently or mostly liberal, 14% Mixed and 79% consistently or mostly conservative. This indicates that Breitbart is heavily preferred by a more conservative audience.

In general, the majority of published stories favor the right and are highly pro-Trump in tone and story se******n.

A factual search reveals numerous failed fact checks by IFCN Fact Checkers. Here are just a few of many as an example:

Breitbart Duped by F**e News (Again) (False)
Following Joe Kennedy’s speech, Breitbart says Fall River, Mass. not built by immigrants (False)
Breitbart gets the wrong Loretta Lynch in Whitewater claim (Pants on Fire)
Did Planned Parenthood ‘Team Up’ With Satanists to Promote A******n Rights in Missouri? (False)
Trump’s ISIS Conspiracy Theory (False)
Breitbart article baselessly claims a study of past climate invalidates human-caused c*****e c****e (False)
Overall, we rate Breitbart Questionable based on extreme right wing bias, publication of conspiracy theories and propaganda as well as numerous false claims. (M. Huitsing 7/14/2018) Updated (02/04/2020)

Another far right BS site.

Mostly more of your nonsense Frank. Why do you persist in taking a negative view of this when anyone paying attention knows the Democratic Party does not support v**er ID laws so they can more easily commit e******n f***d. There is not a single democrat in Congress that I'm aware of who supports v**er ID laws.

Frank knows this and knows that v**er ID is the only way to mitigate v***r f***d except in heavily democrat controlled areas where fraud is a way of life.

Your comment regarding coming up with a tamper-proof system of v****g is a very astute observation. One would think that after all the incidents of v***r f***d that have been discovered there would be a national move to develop such a system. One sure fire way to reduce fraud way is v**er ID.

mail-in b****ts in Okla now have to be notarized....you should hear the Dems squealing!!!

Democrats would oppose it.

They oppose paper b****ts.

They oppose electronic b****ts.

They oppose v**er ID.

They even opposed removing party affiliation from the b****t and just using candidate names ... on the basis that the typical D v**er needs to be told who to v**e for.

Maybe you should cancel the e******n entirely and keep trump and his entire family in the

white house for the next 200 years.

You tell us that you think both parties use such tactics John but then again show us the proof that both sides do. Otherwise you are just another Liberal stuttering along with But, But, But.

A tamper proof system might well be v**er identification in all e******ns. But of course Liberal Democrats tell us it disenfranchises v**ers. I have always wondered, if that was true, why would it only disenfranchise Democrat v**ers and not Republican v**ers. Everyone these days should have some type of personal identification. If not then it is their responsibility to get identification in order to v**e. How else do these people buy alcohol, fly on airplanes, cash checks, open bank accounts and so on. Yet when it comes to v****g it would seem that ONLY Democratic v**ers can't seem to find any identification. What a crock, huh?

You are being silly in your request that I prove that both sides c***t in e******ns, Dennis. How about you prove to me that Republicans are totally innocent in that regard?

How about you prove your last claim that "ONLY Democratic v**ers can't seem to find any identification." Do you honestly believe such an outrageous statement?

What a crock, huh?

Wait... are you telling me that American v**ers DO NOT have to show ID when they cast their b****ts? That is insane!

I guess Canada is way ahead in that regard. I receive a card in the mail that entitles me to v**e. I then have to bring that card along with ID to the polling station before I am given a b****t. That card is surrendered when I receive the b****t and my name is marked as having v**ed. This prevents me from showing up a second time to v**e. Seems simple and straight forward to me.
Wait... are you telling me that American v**ers DO... (show quote)

And you would be correct John. That is exactly the way it is in many American states but not in all states. I do as you do, I am told where my v****g precinct is. I show up to v**e. Someone checks my identification and then looks in a book to be sure my name is there. My name is checked off BEFORE I ever get to v**e. Then I am handed a v**er b****t and cast my v**e.

But Democrats here tell us that most or a great many v**ers don't seem to have any identification. They are inconvenienced by not being able to cast their v**e.

We might finally agree on something.

Dennis
