The peak is known as Hawks Beak and is located on the ridge above Linville Gorge in North Carolina just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Since you travel by RV is is a small, but nice campground at Linville Falls about a minutes from this view. I donot know if the campground is currently open.

Thanks for your reply. I'll check on the campground. As soon as we can we will be going north to leave Florida and the summer heat and humidity behind. We'll see what the end of the month looks like as far as the Covid-19 thing goes.

It is a unique location. It is also wild and rugged. The US Army Rangers train at the bottom of the gorge.
