A while back they planted some new flowers in front of the Conservatory in Golden Gate Park, the biggest flower display in the park. I had seen them in previous years, but I didn't know what they were. I Googled "flowers on tall stalks" and from the possibilities I thought they were delphiniums. The next time I went to shoot them there was a gardener who confirmed it. They come in white, and different shades of blue and purple. I think I had the best luck with the white ones. One great thing about them is that some are tall enough that you can easily shoot them against the sky.
