But.... there is a “Pentax forum” on line. I don’t find it to be as photographically friendly. It is pretty much PENTAX specific, but not as easily navigated. RJM

Yes I am a member of it as well. I’m glad I found this group. I have already benefited by being pointed to the DPreview macro articles.

We are from Albuquerque. Currently in Louisiana but heading back to NM soon.
I was in the Navy as well. Active duty 66-68. Served aboard the Forrestal.

As Pentax owner before becoming a pro, and the current owner of a Pentax Spotmatic, I understand. The brand of equipment will not prevent expanding your horizons. Best of luck.

I've got a brother and sister in Albuquerque, a brother and sister in Tucumcari, and a brother in Los Alamos.
Navy '72-'92. Aviation type. A lot of time on several Carriers. Wasn't the big fire on the Forrestal around that time frame? '67 I think.
There are quite a few military related folks here on the UHH.
