Chomping at the bit to get out-and-about once travel restrictions are history. Thinking "Baby Steps" and a weekend drive to Garrett County, Maryland. These from past visits.

It is, Karin, and not terribly far from you, I would think. The state park is Swallow Falls SP and there are 4 quite photogenic falls there.

This is my "I played hooky" shot. We were expecting snow at home so I took a PTO day from work, threw my camera into my car and drove out. The moto is "There's always snow in Garrett County." I arrived during the storm and shot all over the area. From when I was much more fool hearty, they had 36inches of snow that day.

That is a great story behind the photo. I am not familiar with that exact area and went to Flickr to check it out. I must say your photo #2 is among the best I saw...congrats on an outstanding job!

Good place for a long weekend. Not far is also Cheat River Gorge and Cooper's Rock just to the west and The Canyon of the Blackwater River just south in WVA.
