This was taken during a shoot with Frankie - most of the shoot was in normal light, but I took a few with a UV strobe and filter. Shadows in UV are harder edged. Skin is translucent in UV light as it penetrates the skin and the skin's refection has a different quality. The lower structures in the skin are more visible in UV light which gives interesting detail to what would be a blank area in visible light. Ink can be interesting - its usually much lighter in UV, and sometimes it's not visible at all.
Why tie the model up in a knot??
Beautifully done. Looks like she assumed an advanced yoga pose. Love the IR. Thanks for sharing it.
I have a simple $15 100 bulb UV flashlight and it indeed brings forth a whole new world. As SMF says, "Skin is translucent in UV light as it penetrates the skin and the skin's refection has a different quality. "
