I can now readily identify with my geriatric patients. As part of their assessment, they were given a short "Mini Mental Status Exam" (MMSE). First question on the MMSE: "Tell me today's date". Frequent replies: "I can't tell you because I didn't read the paper yet today", "I didn't bring a calendar", "I missed the news this morning" . We no longer have structured clues and one day/month blends into another. I am thinking the lockdowns are especially difficult for those living alone.

And it is cruel and unusual punishment for nursing home residents who are confined to one room without any outside stimulus other than a TV set. It has to be a living nightmare for those poor souls! There is a 97yo lady from our church who is slowly dying from complications of breast cancer and is presently in a nursing home where she is allowed no family or friend visitors and can only receive phone calls. She is dying a painful, lonely death that shouldn't be imposed on anyone!

Love the Dressed Up Hands - simple and elegant!
Standing beneath the huge hands sculpture in Gretna Green.

It seems there should be a way that the dying could have 1 realtive with them, Seems very unfair
Thank you to everyone who participated. You all deserve a "hand". This is my last. These hands are mine and my husband's. They have stood the test of time through thick and thin. I may have mentioned already, but our 50th is June 27th. I'll never forget that day and the many extra special moments and memories. I'm sure many of you know exactly what I mean. Larry should be along eventually and I'll see you on the next challenge.
Love endures for all time
I found a few hands from the Arizona, Photopalooza.

Larry !!! I ALMOST posted my version of your first image!!!Great minds - LOL!
Thanks so much, Bob. And for UHH, it takes all of us to make it work. Iwill likely never meet in person most of the folks I've met here, but I feel such a connection to many. Those I have met in person are just wonderful people. I am honored to know you all and call you friends.
