Had a great morning shooting yesterday. There were no clouds so no sunrise pics. Topped a hill and saw the woody's in a field, a heard of woody's to be exact. Maybe a convention. Sun was just above the horizon so not great illumination of the subject but when the opportunity arrises, gotta go for it.
So then on the river. Bit of scenery, a heron and the sandhill pair.

Still like your pictures. Google and other sources more official than me, indicate groups of birds, particularly ducks, are known as"flocks", while "herds" refer to four-legged animals. Even winged raptors, in groups, are referred to as flocks.
