I'm not disputing facts nor that the President is a dolt, just that this copy paste post that 'shockingly' omits the fact Nancy Pelosi tried to pass a law to BLOCK Trump's actions you now pretend were taken too late despite evidence. If Trump was oblivious to obvious evidence and Pelosi defied Trump responding to obvious evidence.... is she rooting for the v***s?

Repeat argument for Andrew Cuomo and his suggesting that Trump was a r****t because he looked to curtail travel into our country.

Trump is not infallible, but by all accounts he was ahead of the curve in responding (relative to DEM politicians that now assail his actions), even if this panic mode reaction has been WAY overblown.

I mentioned those two, as they are representative of the 'orange man bad', TDS crowd. I could just have easily mentioned Joe Biden (could be President) saying much of the same, suggesting Trump's actions were race-based instead of disease-based. Suggesting reference to bad behavior and bad leadership from Democrats is not a parallel because Trump is President is a cop out. By that logic, no other politician in the US could be criticized.

I feel, in some discussions, like I'm conversing with an addict. If you've ever had the misfortune of dealing with someone who is an addict, it is undeniable that every thought, word, action, lie, crime is dev**ed to the next 'use'. "Orange man bad" is not an argument of fact or of debate.

The OP dealt only with the current C***D response. If you will check, I did not suggest the President was infallible. I did not suggest he was even good. I suggested he was better, earlier than many of his critics. If it is your contention that Trump has done worse than the alternative, which I assume to be a Democrat President, it falls to you to cite a Democrat leader who was suggesting/demanding action before Trump took action.

Also, I'd love to read your scathing reproaches of Angela Merkel, Justin Trudeau, Pedro Sanchez, and Sergio Matterella, as each of their countries has also experienced a wave of deaths in their countries. Or did Trump somehow cause these Spanish, German, Canadian, and Italian citizens to die?

Discussing others is a pivot. The sub of the thread is how trump failed the country and cost thousands of lives.

OK, I understand now. Even presuming I'm at fault for, several posts ago, diverging from the thread, it only becomes important now, after several intervening Trump insults. Got it. The answer to everything is "orange man bad" until it becomes patently obvious that "orange man bad" is actually NOT an argument, and THEN it's time to sign off of the discussion based on a technicality that, were it actually a priority, would have been addressed 37 posts ago.

I never said you were at fault - only guilty of piv****g the discussion I started. Not once did you defend any action trump has taken during the c***d crisis.

Do I dislike trump yes and I will explain.

Before I retired I was assigned and worked on an east coast military installation. .
During that time, trump was in the news many many times. Either for failed businesses, bankruptcy. Lawsuits or marriage infidelity.
His standard way of doing business was the lawsuit for anything - from the small business that repaired slots or reupholstered chairs. He would sign a contract, not pay and say sue me. Then because he had more lawyers the small business gave in and settled for half the contract.
In his business he bought business or started them and they failed he declared bankruptcy. Then borrowed money more money to do it all over. Do you wonder why he has no current dealings with american banks? Because they checked applications and saw massive lies ( a crime) and didn’t want to do business . The only bank that would is Deutschland Bank because of the kushner relation they had. He was the self proclaimed King of Debt and obviously still is.

It is my belief he ran for president solely for the publicity and surprise - the libs had no viable candidate and the GOP contenders didn’t know how to handle a low class slob with no morals whose debating strength was insults and not discussion .

Now he (1) has discovered he loves ( a military valet from the military who loathed and avoided) the trappings of power where he can fire anybody , virtually make the laws. And (2) he realizes the presidency shields him from prosecution for his bank fraud ( lies on line apps) and most important (3) he has discovered the presidency is immensely profitable .

I saw this because of the time in the East . It is no surprise that anyone west of Pennsylvania has not seen it and bought the con hook line and sinker.

My opinion - nothing at all to do with politics republican or liberal . As I have said before I long for a real conservative that has morals, honesty, believes in small government and believes in fiscal responsibility. Most of all , what we said in the military . Service before self or civilian lingo country before self.

My opinion !!
