Okay, don't like a******n, I'm offering a viable alternative.
Every male in the United States on his 12th Birthday will be forced to get a vasectomy. Then when he wants to father a child he can request that the vasectomy be reversed and submit that request to a panel of old women.
This will bring the a******n rate down to zero. I look forward to the support of the right-wing posters on this site as it's truly an effective method of a******n reduction.

Soba1, the reality is that only Law Abiding Citizens care about laws and they are not the problem whatsoever. Congress as well as State and Local governments can enact all of the laws they wish and not a single criminal will care at all. The only thing that a criminal will care anything about is the punitive portion if and when they would ever get caught. They also know that they will likely be released time and time again due to the revolving door criminal justice system.

In the meantime, the fellow who enjoys going to the range to see how closely he can poke holes in paper will be treated as a criminal simply because of the enjoyment of the hobby.

It is another example of why term limits are so important for the politicians do not fear the armed criminals, they actually fear the informed citizen who may expose them for what they truly are and their personal wealth building activities including taxpayer money laundering.

Let's try an even easier method. How about women actually thinking before having sex, whether or not they want to become pregnant and if not then they would take proper precautions or insist the male take proper precautions. That common sense thinking would stop a great number of needless a******ns by putting the onus of having an a******n directly on the woman since, as we are often as in ALWAYS told, it is her body to do with as she pleases. Then let the woman take the responsibility.

OK Frank, here is another possible scenario. How about little girls on their 12th Birthday get their tubes tied? Then when they reached their teens as cheerleaders they could spread their legs to every jock on the team all the way through college. Finally, somewhere in her late 20's or early 30's, when she meets a conservative, patriotic young man and wants to get serious about life, starting a family, she merely gets the tubes retied.

Frank, I have a different idea and one that I think most taxpayers would agree with that would cost them far less in the long run with all things that the taxpayer pays for altogether.

Provide IUD's for women. They are a small "T" shaped device and there is one that contains copper so there is no hormones to be concerned with. It takes a moment to install in the doctor's office and the woman would receive a pelvic exam as part of the process. They are good for 5-years and they can be removed whenever a women wants to bear a child.

It was my Better Half's form of birth control about 40-years ago so it been around for a long time and it is fully reversible. No pills to buy or to remember to take, no condom to use have at the time of need that may slip or tear. Of course safe sex must still be practiced to avoid STD's.

Of course Planned Parenthood is a business and they generate a large amount of money that they pay their executives and that they contribute to political campaigns and this solution would put a big dent in their political money laundering scheme.

Have you ever wondered why causes that generate contributions to political campaigns are fought for so hard by politicians and those that do not generate contributions are left to their own devices? I find it q***r that politicians rally to defend Planned Parenthood yet they let people sleep in the streets of the communities they represent along with the rampant use of drugs, s**tting on the sidewalks, crime against property and citizens and mountains of filth, rodents and disease. Perhaps the homeless should start making campaign donations too.

To date, I haven't met one woman who can get pregnant with no male around.
