While going through my Mother's estate, my daughters found this slide - which must have been taken in early 1948, since I was my parents' first born and I was born at the end of 1947.

Thinking of all they endured before the point this picture was taken - depression then war - even though I haven't quite cleaned this up, I post this in honor of both of them.

Thank you for your feedback!

Seven years since we lost him, two years since we lost her, but it is good to remember when we were all young.

Nice being able to look back to the past, few yeas ago my fathers brother was able to dig up a B&W photo of my parent wedding group photo, I printed it and it's framed in our home.

That is a very nice remembrance picture of you and your parents, rehess. A treasure.

Thank you for your comment.

I believe my daughters also found a wedding photo -
in 1945 it was printed on what looks like almost regular bond paper;
I'll have to find it again and this time I'll scan it before I lose it again.

Yes, it is a neat remembrance even though I had to work on it to even make a bearable image.

Thank you for responding.

They are neither my photos nor my memories of the moment of course, but they do remind me of very pleasant times later. For example, I was raised in a Chicago suburb, and I remember just a few years later of running down to the corner and watching parades of ‘Daddies’, one for each train, waiting for one particular ‘Daddy’.

Yes, he - and I also - wore those bow ties at one time, although, honestly, gave up any sort of tie a few years ago.
