Switch from Adobe to Capture 1

Hi, I stopped the Adobe environment for y situation, and changed to Classic 1 for Fuji, i shoot Fuji x100f , v and both conersion lenses, RAW and JPEG and shot in all modes and times and subjects. Adobes CC, clásic and cloud synch sucked up to much bandwidth, I’m in a slow i internet environment, i was using mainly LR CC andClassic and it is to slow, and I simply wanted to spend more time creating and less time on computer. Iam shooting as a hobbiestand I simply didn’t need all the features it Adobe. P,usCapture one has no legacy bits I’d deep oixel, and 64 architecture. And fast. The issue is nomenclature, I can end up with results that are very good, but the naming and program is in incomprehensible at 1st. I’m spoiled by amount hof materials on Adobe, and surprised by Relatively limited sources, you tube, this sight, Capture 1. In short, any recomendaciones for good instruction, would be appreciated. On the curve. Thank you. Xpatch

I don't know how much bandwidth capture 1 requires. Good luck.

CaptureOne is an installed application and as such does not require an internet connection. Therefore bandwidth is a non-issue once you have downloaded and installed it.

The "learning hub" OTOH would require bandwidth, of course. Ditto for other stuff on YouTube.
You might be able to take advantage of the manual, etc. which could be downloaded as a pdf in sections.

One of the considerations for picking a retouching program is the amount of community support available?

I am sure someone here who uses capture one will be able to help.

If not try placing this question on one of the UHH specialty categories like Post-Processing Digital Images:

I'm not sure I understand. Lightroom Classic, if used all by itself, requires no bandwidth for routine operation. So, if it is working for you, turn off the sync and use it!

I don't agree that there are only limited resources for Capture One. Not as much online support as LR/PS for sure, but still quite a lot -- more than enough to learn how to use the program.

The Capture One website offers numerous tutorials, frequent webinars (which are then recorded on its website), and good customer service. If you Google Capture One, you will also find quite a bit of third-party help on YouTube and elsewhere.

Richard, whatever makes you happy is a good thing.

I'm not sure I understand the bandwidth issue in using PS or LR.

I am switching to Capture One because it has a dedicated Fuji edition.

Anthony Morganti has a completed video series on Capture One and its entirely free. There may be other instructions on utube as well.

Good Luck!

I couldn't agree more. IMO Capture One is the best raw converter.

I use both Adobe products (PS, LR Classic) and Capture One Pro Sony. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I do not use Creative Cloud for image storage, so internet connection speed is not an issue at all. Capture One seems pretty snappy on most operations, LR has so far proven reliable and stable. To stay current, Capture One is more expensive than PS/LR.

I agree. C1 gave me the best raw rendering right off the bat. That saves time. Time is valuable.

Yet I chose Adobe for other reasons more important to me. Go figure.
