This is a fun study. The fast shutter speed did cool things with the water and this even light did great things with his green head. I liked the shot with his bill under the surface. Glad you got out.

Thanks Linda. I cobbled together a few shots, from the many, that made sense as a short sequence. This went on for a good while. I have never seen such a thorough and prolonged dousing, and it made for an exciting finale to this outing!

He did that. I was just about to leave the area, and caught site of him over the drop-off to the river. Quickly and quietly changed lenses and set the shutter speed at 500. Plenty good for a sitting duck! Then.. Quite a few of my shots were just a blur with water flying everywhere.
