with the virus going on, I miss that the editing of raw files is not on DPP. how do I edit my Raw images now?

Your DPP should work regardless of the virus, unless you have a computer virus.

Which RAW?
DPP works well on my .CR2 files.
If you're using .CR3 and can't, you might try upgrading DPP.

Canon always releases a new version of DPP whenever they release a new camera. All you need to do is go to the Canon support site for your camera and download the version of DPP listed there.

No, you are not the one missing something here. Anybody that tries processing shots made with a cannon is going to have major problems. Canon shooters use DPP to process their work. Cannon shooters have much bigger balls. Big balls are problematic, even for DPP.
