I am a Canon shooter 55yrs. once switched to Nikon and was very unhappy and I had good equipment 24-120mm 35mm 50mm 200mm 70-200. It was a D40 and i could not get used to it and i really tried. So I went back to Canon boy did i take a beating trade wise. Today I took my 50D 18-135 out into my garden to make some flower images. IM now 71yrs old and disabeled have to use a walker to be safe The camera now alkward to heavy just seams to be to much of a hassel. Any sugestions would be appreciated.
Howdy. Same here. Had a Nikon D5100 and found that camera and a couple lens a bit too much to walk around with. I'm 70 with a bad left shoulder due to muscle strain.
I bought a Nikon P510 and a Canon SX40HS and both of these give me plenty of options to play with, good to great photos and zoom up the ying yang.
I can carry both around my neck and hardly notice they are there. Not full size but as a 'Bridge' camera they do a fine job.

The Canon SX50HS has just been announced. Spectacular features!
How about the new Sony NEX 6 with 18-200mm zoom
Mirrorless is a good option, less is more.
I am disabled also and really like my NIKON P500.

Tell me, why did you get both the Nijon and Canon? I am usually a Nikon user, but went with the Canon SX-40 and having a heck of a time getting used to it.
What do you find different bewtwwn the two?
Thanks
