Stop working, sit back, put your feet up and savor a perfectly completed project.

Kenie, I absolutely love your work, but when I first looked at this image, something just didn't seem right. I love the tone, the overall composition, but when I brought it into PSE, I turned on "grids" and sure enough, the lantern on the left is "tilted" just slightly to the right...(I know, I have a weird sense of balance.)

Please know that I really do admire your work.

Tim

If I were the paying customer, I'd ask that you remove the decorative border (and the black, if that's intended to stay rather than just assist with UHH viewing)

Elegant work!

I'm glad you like it Tim. I didn't notice it being crooked. Its not a composite so the lantern itself must be off. Darn Dollar Store sold me a defective $5 lamp! I have to confess I almost tossed it. When I was setting it up to shoot every time I set it down the light went out. I would pick it up and it would come back on. Finally realized when I picked it up my hand covered the solar panel. It wasn't quite dark enough in the room to activate the light. I had to put a small piece of fabric over the panel to get it to stay on.😂😂😂

Thank you Linda! I wanted an old fashioned look. Maybe leave just the scroll border? I have to remove it for my club competition either way.

Hi Keni,

I like your original you posted earlier. It was excellent. The original was simple and very easy on the eyes, nice composition and colors. This just feels crowded to me.

I like this one too Keni other than the borders. I wanted to make sure before I commented so I removed the borders and now its a wonderfull still life. I would like to suggest you remove them and repost or add to this post and see the reactions.
If you do I would also suggest moving your sig over to the left an inch or so.
A still life will normally have around 3 items with this one your border is adding too many things to draw ones attention.

Thanks for comments Mike. I think I am leaning your way on this one.
