I agree that the best camera is the one that you have with you. But a smartphone camera in bright sunlight is completely useless in my opinion.

To me, so is any camera without a viewfinder.

Beautiful shots, so glad you had a high quality cell with you.

Just think how much nicer they would have been with a "real" camera. I say that to myself every time I get a "good" photo with my TG-6. It's a really good camera for what it's designed for but no substitute for a "real" DSLR.

Unless that all you have with you at the time, which was the point of this post.

Phone in the title saves time for those who have no interest in phones or their uses.

Hummmm, I think you spent much more time complaining about the title than just moving on with just one click of your mouse.

Exactly why I titled it that way. There does seem to be quite a non negotiable divide on the camera phone issue.

And, there shouldn't be. I have shot some great shots with my iphone. It was what I had at the time. Conversely, some of my worst shots were with my DSLR. It ain't the hardware. It's the photographer.

Sometimes I see posts that disparage cell phone cameras. These were taken with a Samsung Galaxy S10. I was driving at the time (don't tell the cops). No PP.

Really nice. Cell phone camera have improved over the years and are handy (cellular phones are called "handis" in Germany-should you know, do you care?)

The colors are surprising. Thanx for sharing.
