I vote for #1. It is a swamp so being dark is fitting. I think there is something in the middle that would work better. #2 is sharper in the feather detail. So doing that with #1 and maybe a little more color (blue-gray not blue), and I'd keep it on the dark side. Also if you cropped off where the legs go into the water, I'd add that back. Very nice photo with a lot to work with. Remember it's your photo so please yourself.

The second one is too blue. I haven't seen a blue heron that blue. I would process the first and to achieve more normal colors.
