One can't help but wonder how they are able to get so far in the red. Surely their accountants are duty bound to raise some alarms.

I am sure this will happen world-wide. The credit systems between wholesale and retail will need some rethinking once the Covid-19 is under control and businesses begin to reopen. I am sure retail space will be abundant as business expands online sales. Property owners will have to restructure their leases.

They only stated the debt, not the inventory or other intangibles. If their sales were strong, that much in payables is not unusual.
I saw that yesterday. I do hope they can make it - it's the only store I go to for equipment and supplies.
We are also experiencing the same difficulties with the oldest camera store in Miami, Pitman Photo. Most recently they asked for help through donations.
If the pandemic preventive lockdown keeps on going on this camera store could be gone forever.
